Charles May Esquire, one of HER MAJESTY'S JUSTICES OF THE PEACE for the said Colony.
Whereas the said Plaintiff hath this day informed and complained to me that the said Defendant on the yor October instant, was guilty of Muisance, that is to say did un lawfully build certain houses to the number six on Inland Lot No 408, at Victoria in contravention of the provision of Ordinance 8 of 1836, vigt: did unlawfully build walls hollow & not solid.

These are therefore to require you forthwith to summon the said Defendant to be and appear at the Office aforesaid on Thursday the day of October 185 at the hour of Twelve o'clock noon, before such JUSTICE OF JUSTICES OF THE PEACE for the said Colony as may then be there, to answer to the said information and complaint, and to be further dealt with according to Law: Aud be you then there to certify what you shall have done in the premises.
